After 26 years at Scotia Wealth Management in a wealth advisory role I loved, and many years prior in health care, it’s time to enjoy retirement!
The new flexibility in my life excites me. Time with family and friends and hobbies, including golf, tennis, power-walking, reading, and travel, are high on the to-do list! A new item, advocating for lung cancer, arose with a diagnosis of stage 4, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The diagnosis came as a shock. I’ve never smoked, and I have a healthy lifestyle. Lung cancer was never on my radar. Like the general public, I’ve learned that we need more awareness of this misunderstood and underfunded disease. Advocates must overcome the stigma associated with lung cancer and raise funds to support the required education, patient care, and research.
I invite you to follow my path here!
